Embajadora de literatura para jóvenes

No sabía que en Estados Unidos existiera la figura del national ambassador for young people's literature ni que Katherine Paterson, novelista infantil ganadora por dos veces del Newbery Medal y del National Book Award for Young People's Literature, fuera su próxima representante.

Tampoco sé si en España existe una figura similar pero leyendo el artículo de The New York Times parece que pudiera merecer la pena. Al final es un animador o un apóstol de la lectura para jóvenes y pequeños, aquellos entre los que más difícil es inculcar un hábito tan saludable.

Y, además, Katherine Paterson dice:

"Who I am comes out in what I write. You try to write from the deepest part of yourself and whatever is there is going to come out".
